Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Floral Still Life by Severin Roesen was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 56,189.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Severin Roesen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Fruit In A Landscape in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 769,000.00 (€ 494,215.94).

Die Arbeit Floral Still Life von Severin Roesen kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 56.189,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Severin Roesen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit In A Landscape im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 769.000,00 (€ 494.215,94).
