Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Severin Roesen could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Floral Still Life With Bird'S Nest changed hands for USD 137,500.00 (€ 122,374.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Severin Roesen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Fruit In A Landscape in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 769,000.00 (€ 494,215.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Severin Roesen konnte im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Floral Still Life With Bird'S Nest für USD 137.500,00 (€ 122.374,51) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Severin Roesen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit In A Landscape im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 769.000,00 (€ 494.215,94).
