The work Feeding the Dead by Seth Eastman was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2018. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,663.16) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Seth Eastman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Striking the Post, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 52,920.00 (€ 49,315.07).

Die Arbeit Feeding the Dead von Seth Eastman wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.663,16) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Seth Eastman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Striking the Post beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 52.920,00 (€ 49.315,07) versteigert wurde.
