Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crucifixión by Sergio Hernández was sold in the Latin American Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 30,432.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Sergio Hernández have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2010 the work Apocalipsis was auctioned for USD 62,500.00 (€ 50,529.55).
