Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a Gentleman by Sergei Chekhonin was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,876.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Chekhonin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Roses, Anemones And Chrysanthemums In A Chinese Vase in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 320,446.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a Gentleman von Sergei Chekhonin wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.876,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sergei Chekhonin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Roses, Anemones And Chrysanthemums In A Chinese Vase im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 320.446,49).
