Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Headpiece for the publication marking the centenary of the Bolshoi Theatre; and Two profiles of Vladimir Lenin (1870-1924) by Sergei Chekhonin was worth GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,744.89) to a buyer in June 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Russian Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Chekhonin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Roses, Anemones And Chrysanthemums In A Chinese Vase in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 320,446.49).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Headpiece for the publication marking the centenary of the Bolshoi Theatre; and Two profiles of Vladimir Lenin (1870-1924) von Sergei Chekhonin war einem Käufer im Juni 2019 GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.744,89) wert.
