Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Russian Washing His Hair by Sergei Soudeikine was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 10,438.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Soudeikine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian Oriental Scene, Circa 1923 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 241,000.00 (€ 154,804.73).
