In April 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Russian On The Beach by Sergei Soudeikine. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,058.58), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sergei Soudeikine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian Oriental Scene, Circa 1923 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 241,000.00 (€ 154,804.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Russian On The Beach von Sergei Soudeikine zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.058,58) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Soudeikine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian Oriental Scene, Circa 1923 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 241.000,00 (€ 154.804,73).
