This artwork by Sergei Shablavin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2019. In the Important Russian Art auction, the work Summer landscape with train from the 'Railway' series sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,678.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sergei Shablavin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian Winter, 1981, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,037.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Sergei Shablavin erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Russian Art wurde die Arbeit Summer landscape with train from the 'Railway' series für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.678,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sergei Shablavin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russian Winter, 1981 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 67.000,00 (€ 43.037,00) versteigert wurde.
