Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Moscow from the 'Small cubes' series by Sergei Shablavin for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,836.30). This price was achieved in the auction Russian Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Sergei Shablavin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian Winter, 1981 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,037.00).
