Despite a disappointment, a good price for Sergei Shablavin
When the work Russian Winter, 1981 by Sergei Shablavin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,037.00). Despite this disappointing result, Russian Winter, 1981 is the most expensive artwork by Sergei Shablavin that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Russian Winter, 1981 von Sergei Shablavin im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
