The work Dancers; Mural design; and Decorative borders by Sergei Chekhonin was worth GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,293.34) to a buyer in June 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Russian Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Chekhonin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Roses, Anemones And Chrysanthemums In A Chinese Vase in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 320,446.49).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Russian Art bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sergei Chekhonin erzielen.
