Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Uniform Color Mixing (Ii) "The Color As A Limit Of Knowledge" by Serge Spitzer was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,087.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Serge Spitzer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work About Sculpture (4-teilig), which sold at auction in September 2015 for EUR 14,875.00.

Die Arbeit Uniform Color Mixing (Ii) "The Color As A Limit Of Knowledge" von Serge Spitzer kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.087,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Serge Spitzer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit About Sculpture (4-teilig) beobachtet, die im September 2015 für EUR 14.875,00 versteigert wurde.
