In November 2019 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Modern Art + Design, which included this untitled work by Senaka Senanayake. The result of SEK 60,000.00 (€ 5,684.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Senaka Senanayake have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Acrobats) in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,965.09).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2019 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Modern Art + Design durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Senaka Senanayake zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 60.000,00 (€ 5.684,73) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Senaka Senanayake auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Acrobats) im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.965,09).
