Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Day, from the “Shuttle Bus” series by Semyon Faibisovich was auctioned at Phillips in London in February 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 75,827.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Semyon Faibisovich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work One More Glance at the Black Sea in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 340,200.00 (€ 405,787.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winter Day, from the “Shuttle Bus” series von Semyon Faibisovich kam im Februar 2014 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 75.827,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Semyon Faibisovich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit One More Glance at the Black Sea im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 340.200,00 (€ 405.787,24).
