The work That Is the Question by Semyon Faibisovich was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 107,100.00 (€ 127,747.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Semyon Faibisovich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work One More Glance at the Black Sea, which sold at auction in December 2021 for GBP 340,200.00 (€ 405,787.24).

Die Arbeit That Is the Question von Semyon Faibisovich wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 107.100,00 (€ 127.747,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Für andere Arbeiten von Semyon Faibisovich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit One More Glance at the Black Sea beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für GBP 340.200,00 (€ 405.787,24) versteigert wurde.
