Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online, which included the work The Little Funny People From The Negatives Cycle by Semyon Faibisovich. It changed hands for a price of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 76,951.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Semyon Faibisovich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work One More Glance at the Black Sea in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 340,200.00 (€ 405,787.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Little Funny People From The Negatives Cycle von Semyon Faibisovich zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 76.951,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Semyon Faibisovich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit One More Glance at the Black Sea im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 340.200,00 (€ 405.787,24).
