Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Disco sucks - Jesus saves by Seen was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,268.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Seen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Superman Who, 2009 in February 2012 with an auction result of EUR 95,957.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Disco sucks - Jesus saves von Seen im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.268,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Seen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Superman Who, 2009 im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 95.957,00.
