Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Church Interior, With Figures Performing The Work Of Charity, Burying The Dead by Sebastian Vrancx was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 35,038.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sebastian Vrancx achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Four Seasons in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,650,500.00 (€ 2,339,854.64).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 35.038,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sebastian Vrancx erzielen.
