Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work An Extensive Landscape With Marauders Hijacking Wagon, A Moated Castle And The City Of Antwerp Beyond by Sebastian Vrancx. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 125,575.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sebastian Vrancx achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Four Seasons in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,650,500.00 (€ 2,339,854.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Extensive Landscape With Marauders Hijacking Wagon, A Moated Castle And The City Of Antwerp Beyond von Sebastian Vrancx zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 125.575,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sebastian Vrancx erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Four Seasons im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.650.500,00 (€ 2.339.854,64).
