Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Kelly's Bog by Sean McSweeney was sold in the Irish and 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,227.29). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sean McSweeney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roskeeragh, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,861.17).

Die Arbeit Kelly's Bog von Sean McSweeney wurde im Mai 2004 in der Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.151,00 (€ 3.227,29) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sean McSweeney mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roskeeragh beobachtet, die im Mai 2004 für GBP 6.572,50 (€ 9.861,17) versteigert wurde.
