The work The Man of Aran by Seán Keating was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006. It achieved a price of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,503.22), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Seán Keating achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Feast of Bridget in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 139,650.00 (€ 194,567.61).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.503,22) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Seán Keating erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Feast of Bridget im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 139.650,00 (€ 194.567,61).
