Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work A man standing by a column by Seán Keating. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,560.00 (€ 14,343.52), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Seán Keating achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Feast of Bridget in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 139,650.00 (€ 194,567.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE IRISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit A man standing by a column von Seán Keating zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.560,00 (€ 14.343,52) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Seán Keating erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Feast of Bridget im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 139.650,00 (€ 194.567,61).
