Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work The duke of Milan by Sean Henry was worth EUR 12,500.00 to a buyer in September 2012. This price was achieved in the auction Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art at Christies in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sean Henry; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Way It Will Be sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,694.60).

Die Arbeit The duke of Milan von Sean Henry war einem Käufer im September 2012 EUR 12.500,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sean Henry; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Way It Will Be im Oktober 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.694,60).
