Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Standing Man 2 by Sean Henry. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,279.85). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sean Henry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Way It Will Be, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,694.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing Man 2 von Sean Henry zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.355,00 (€ 6.279,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sean Henry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Way It Will Be beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.694,60) versteigert wurde.
