Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Parka by Sean Henry. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,398.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sean Henry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Way It Will Be in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,694.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Parka von Sean Henry zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.398,12) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sean Henry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Way It Will Be im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.694,60).
