The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,400.00 (€ 7,416.21), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sean Henry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Way It Will Be, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,694.60).

Die Arbeit Donkey 176cm (69 5/16in) (including base); 85cm (33 7/16in) high (excluding base) von Sean Henry wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.400,00 (€ 7.416,21) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Sean Henry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Way It Will Be beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.694,60) versteigert wurde.
