In the Living with Art auction, the work A Portrait of the Black and White English Water Spaniel 'Tim' sold for USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,086.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sawrey Gilpin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hawking in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,500.00 (€ 118,321.86).
