Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,274.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sacha Moldovan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nature morte avec les fruit et fleurs, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,754.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers And Fruit von Sacha Moldovan kam im September 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.274,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sacha Moldovan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nature morte avec les fruit et fleurs beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.754,42) versteigert wurde.
