Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Selective Geometries # 3 by Sarah Crowner. The price achieved of GBP 45,360.00 (€ 52,843.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sarah Crowner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rotated Stretched Stems, Cropped in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 378,000.00 (€ 334,898.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selective Geometries # 3 von Sarah Crowner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 45.360,00 (€ 52.843,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sarah Crowner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rotated Stretched Stems, Cropped im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 378.000,00 (€ 334.898,56).
