Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Flag #6, Decaying Confidant You Brought Me To My Knees by Sara Rahbar was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,319.62). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sara Rahbar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Iranianflag #11 Rescue Me From Who I Am And From What I Am Becoming, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,011.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Flag #6, Decaying Confidant You Brought Me To My Knees von Sara Rahbar im April 2021 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.319,62) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sara Rahbar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Iranianflag #11 Rescue Me From Who I Am And From What I Am Becoming beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.011,52) versteigert wurde.
