However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sandy Murphy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yellow Jug, which sold at auction in July 2003 for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,535.80).

Die Arbeit Striped Tablecloth von Sandy Murphy kam im Juli 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 537,53) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37%. Für andere Arbeiten von Sandy Murphy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yellow Jug beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.535,80) versteigert wurde.
