In December 2003 Christies in London held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work Jug With Wild Flowers by Sandy Murphy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 376.00 (€ 532.55), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sandy Murphy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yellow Jug, which sold at auction in July 2003 for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,535.80).

Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jug With Wild Flowers von Sandy Murphy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 376,00 (€ 532,55) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Sandy Murphy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yellow Jug beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.535,80) versteigert wurde.
