It achieved a price of USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,819.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sandú Darié achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,348.80).

Die Arbeit Untitled, circa 1965 von Sandú Darié wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.819,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sandú Darié erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 118.348,80).
