The work Composition by Sándor Bortnyik was worth GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,028.55) to a buyer in December 2006. This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sándor Bortnyik achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Motoros in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 168,250.00.

Die Arbeit Composition von Sándor Bortnyik war einem Käufer im Dezember 2006 GBP 10.800,00 (€ 16.028,55) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sándor Bortnyik erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Motoros im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 168.250,00.
