Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hungarian composition With Vases by Sándor Bortnyik was sold in the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 81,477.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sándor Bortnyik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Motoros, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 168,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hungarian composition With Vases von Sándor Bortnyik wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 81.477,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sándor Bortnyik mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Motoros beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 168.250,00 versteigert wurde.
