Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Sándor Bortnyik was worth GBP 113,400.00 (€ 133,142.27) to a buyer in November 2021. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 36,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sándor Bortnyik; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Motoros sold at auction in December 2007 with the realized price of EUR 168,250.00.

Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Sándor Bortnyik war einem Käufer im November 2021 GBP 113.400,00 (€ 133.142,27) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 36.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sándor Bortnyik; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A Motoros im Dezember 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 168.250,00.
