Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work The fox's lair by Samuel Raven. The price achieved of GBP 657.25 (€ 978.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Samuel Raven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Hounds In A Landscape; And A Bitch With Her Puppies In A Kennel in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,246.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The fox's lair von Samuel Raven zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 657,25 (€ 978,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samuel Raven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Hounds In A Landscape; And A Bitch With Her Puppies In A Kennel im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 6.246,11).
