In June 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work A pack of hounds; and A Hound bitch with her litter by Samuel Raven. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,063.00 (€ 6,046.96), 35% above the upper estimate. Other works by Samuel Raven have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,246.11) in June 2001 for the work Two Hounds In A Landscape; And A Bitch With Her Puppies In A Kennel.
