Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A favourite terrier by Samuel Raven was sold in the Sporting & Wildlife Art Including an Important Private Collection of Works by Archibald Thorburn and Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe auction at Christies in London in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 746.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Samuel Raven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Hounds In A Landscape; And A Bitch With Her Puppies In A Kennel in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,246.11).

Die Arbeit A favourite terrier von Samuel Raven wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Sporting & Wildlife Art Including an Important Private Collection of Works by Archibald Thorburn and Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 746,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
