Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Inquisitive Terrier by Samuel Raven was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 562.50 (€ 622.30) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Raven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Hounds In A Landscape; And A Bitch With Her Puppies In A Kennel in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,246.11).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 562,50 (€ 622,30) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
