Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Samuel Hieronymus Grimm could be acquired at Christies in London in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Dramas of Light and Land: The Martyn Gregory Collection of British Art auction, the work Barlborough Hall, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire changed hands for GBP 1,512.00 (€ 1,792.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Hieronymus Grimm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four Views Of Switzerland: Including View Of: The Grimsel Pass With The Handeck Waterfall; The Haslital; The Schollenen Gorge And Devil'S Bridge, And A Bridge With Waterfalls In The Haslital in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,035.81).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four Views Of Switzerland: Including View Of: The Grimsel Pass With The Handeck Waterfall; The Haslital; The Schollenen Gorge And Devil'S Bridge, And A Bridge With Waterfalls In The Haslital im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.035,81).
