Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection, which included the work A Collection Of Twenty-Five Views Of Lincoln And Its Environs by Samuel Hieronymus Grimm. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,852.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Other works by Samuel Hieronymus Grimm have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2010 the work Four Views Of Switzerland: Including View Of: The Grimsel Pass With The Handeck Waterfall; The Haslital; The Schollenen Gorge And Devil'S Bridge, And A Bridge With Waterfalls In The Haslital was auctioned for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,035.81).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.852,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
