Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,572.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samuel Hieronymus Grimm - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four Views Of Switzerland: Including View Of: The Grimsel Pass With The Handeck Waterfall; The Haslital; The Schollenen Gorge And Devil'S Bridge, And A Bridge With Waterfalls In The Haslital, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,035.81).
