Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH ART ON PAPER, which included the work A windmill with horses and a cart by a pond, in the foreground by Samuel Hieronymus Grimm. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,327.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Samuel Hieronymus Grimm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Views Of Switzerland: Including View Of: The Grimsel Pass With The Handeck Waterfall; The Haslital; The Schollenen Gorge And Devil'S Bridge, And A Bridge With Waterfalls In The Haslital in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,035.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH ART ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit A windmill with horses and a cart by a pond, in the foreground von Samuel Hieronymus Grimm zur Versteigerung kam. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samuel Hieronymus Grimm auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Views Of Switzerland: Including View Of: The Grimsel Pass With The Handeck Waterfall; The Haslital; The Schollenen Gorge And Devil'S Bridge, And A Bridge With Waterfalls In The Haslital im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.035,81).
