Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Best Of Friends by Samuel Fulton was sold in the Scottish Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,678.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samuel Fulton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Collie, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,446.80).

Die Arbeit The Best Of Friends von Samuel Fulton wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Scottish Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.678,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Samuel Fulton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Collie beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.446,80) versteigert wurde.
