Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Puppies by Samuel Fulton was sold in the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,385.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samuel Fulton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Collie, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,446.80).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.385,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Samuel Fulton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Collie beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.446,80) versteigert wurde.
