This artwork by Samuel Fulton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2008. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work A favourite barrel sold for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,176.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Samuel Fulton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Collie in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,446.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Samuel Fulton erzielte im Juli 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit A favourite barrel für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.176,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samuel Fulton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Collie im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.446,80).
