Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cairn Terrier And Spaniel by Samuel Fulton was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,678.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samuel Fulton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Collie, which sold at auction in October 2006 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,446.80).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.678,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
