The work Rivalitas #2 by Samsul Arifin was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,877.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samsul Arifin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Terapung di Laut Asia (Floating in the Asian Ocean), which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 920,000.00 (€ 82,298.27).

Die Arbeit Rivalitas #2 von Samsul Arifin kam im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.877,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von Samsul Arifin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Terapung di Laut Asia (Floating in the Asian Ocean) beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 920.000,00 (€ 82.298,27) versteigert wurde.
